This recording was made during the Royal Horticultural Society's Show at Hampton Court during the summer of 2013. We were engaged as musicians by the company Quiet Mark to play improvised music using 'silent' instruments.

Those who came to the Quiet Mark stand were offered individual wireless headphones to 'tune in' to what we were playing as they wandered in the area or as they sat close by.

For those who requested it we offered to play their 'musical portraits'. The music on this CD therefore is our unique and inspired impression of individual people, reflecting we hope some of their character, personality and emotions. The music was totally improvised and we had no idea what we were going to play beforehand.

We performed well over 100 portraits during our week at the Show and the tracks on this album represent some of our favourites from that week.
